Community is a key influence in a child’s life. Encore Community Care, our non-profit arm, was thus founded to provide services that extend far beyond the home. We now bring services and resources to neighborhoods, schools and institutions that aim to deliver better care to kids with developmental and social challenges.
We partner with community institutions to help schools create additional support structures for special needs children. Onsite professionals meet with school administrators and teachers to determine needs on a school-by-school basis. Our professionals then set up and maintain the school’s resource rooms.
In partnership with Friendship Circle, Encore Community Care brings the CARE 4 U (Counsel, Advice, Resources, Education) program to families struggling to attain services for their children. Parents can schedule one-on-one appointments and receive guidance, referrals and information on getting the help they need.
Raising a child with special needs is both a gift and a responsibility. Our events and support groups offer parents a discreet platform for discussion, camaraderie and guidance to help them carry their remarkable treasure with strength and dignity.
